Premium subscriptions
How do I become a premium supporter?
Thanks for supporting our work. Sign up on Supercast and choose the plan you want — a single show or the whole network bundle, monthly or annual. Annual plans come with a healthy discount.
If you plan to listen on Spotify, sign up with the same email address as your Spotify account.
Once you've subscribed, Supercast emails you instructions for importing the premium feed into any podcast player. If it hasn't arrived after a few minutes, check your spam folder — and if it's not there either, get in touch and we'll sort it out.
How do I cancel my subscription?
It depends how you subscribed.
Through Supercast: log in at supercast.com, select the podcast you want to cancel, and under Subscriptions click Change / Cancel. Supercast's own guide covers this in more detail.
Directly in Apple Podcasts: open the App Store, tap your profile icon, then Subscriptions. Tap Slumber Studios Premium, then Cancel Subscription. Your subscription page will then show the date access expires.
Not sure which? Search your email and spam folder for "Supercast". If you find something, you subscribed through Supercast. If not, you almost certainly subscribed through Apple. Still stuck? Message us and we'll check for you.
I'm a premium supporter and I'm having an issue with my subscription.
If you subscribed through Supercast, you can cancel, update your payment method, re-import your feed, or change your package (monthly to annual, add a show, move to the full bundle) from your account. Supercast's guide walks through each one.
If you can't log in to Supercast, search your email and spam folder for their emails. No Supercast emails means you didn't subscribe that way — you likely subscribed directly in Apple Podcasts, which only Apple can manage. Apple Support can help there.
Still stuck? Message us and we'll work it out with you.
Can I upgrade from a single show to the network bundle?
Yes — if you subscribed through Supercast. Their guide to managing subscriptions shows how to change your plan.
If you subscribed through Apple, you already have the full network bundle.
I can't afford my subscription anymore.
Tough times happen to everyone, and we understand. Send us a message, let us know what's going on, and we'll see what we can work out. The last thing we want is for you to lose good sleep during a stressful stretch of life.
Can I make a donation to support your work?
Yes, and thank you — donations help keep the shows going. You can donate here.
Listening and playback
I'm a premium member but I'm still hearing ads.
Almost always, this means you're still playing episodes from the public feed rather than the premium one.
When you subscribe through Supercast you get a welcome email with instructions for linking the premium feed to your podcast app. Once you've done that, make sure you Follow the new feed — and we'd suggest unfollowing the public feed so the two don't get mixed up.
If that doesn't fix it, get in touch and we'll investigate.
How do I stop episodes playing one after another?
Most podcast apps have a Continuous Playback setting you can switch off — check your app's settings.
Alternatively, use the Sleep Timer that most apps now include. It can stop playback after a set time or at the end of the current episode, and is usually a crescent moon icon on the Now Playing screen.
Does premium work on a smart speaker like Amazon Echo or Google Home?
Yes, with one small step. Smart speakers generally can't play private podcast feeds like our premium channels directly, but you can play an episode from a podcast app on your phone or tablet and send the audio to the speaker over Bluetooth.
How our shows are made
Are your shows written or narrated by AI?
No. Every episode of every show is narrated by a real person — we've never published an AI voice — and our stories are researched, written, and edited by human writers.
We do use AI in a few places away from the storytelling, like some artwork. How we make our shows explains exactly where the lines are.
Who narrates your shows?
Thomas Jones hosts Get Sleepy, Snuggle, and Deep Sleep Sounds, Simon Mattacks is the primary narrator of Sleepy History, Elizabeth Grace reads The Sleepy Bookshelf, and Andrew Bond hosts Send Me To Sleep. Get Sleepy, Snuggle, and Sleepy History also feature a rotating cast of gentle guest narrators. All real people — read more about how we make our shows.
Staying in touch
Does Get Sleepy have a newsletter?
Yes. The free Get Sleepy weekly newsletter goes out every Sunday evening, written by Thomas, with the latest news, some personal tidbits from the team, and a full preview of the week ahead.
