Alexandra Turney

Alexandra is a former Londoner who has lived in Rome for a decade. She works as a freelance writer and editor, and feels lucky to make a living doing what she loves. Her life in Rome and her travels around Italy are among the main inspirations for her writing; ideas often come to her on walks with her rescue dog, Felix.

She wrote Get Sleepy's series of Rome stories, and she is one of the show's editors as well. She loves writing for Get Sleepy, and knowing that her stories are helping listeners.

She often listens to stories by the other writers, and the travel stories and myths are her favorites. As well as helping her fall asleep, they give her inspiration for future trips, and for future stories of her own.
