Alicia is a freelance writer and college composition instructor based in the suburbs of Washington, D.C. She has moved around a lot, living in states from coast to coast, in cities including New York, Boston, and Minneapolis, with two stops in Germany along the way.
Her favorite place, though, is New England, where she and her family spend as much time as possible in their antique home on the coast of Maine. She loves breathing new life into well-known fairy tales, and she draws inspiration from stories of the coast, historic places, autumnal settings, and cozy winter scenes.
When she is not writing sleepy stories or correcting essays, she can be found wrangling her two teenage boys and waiting on her two very demanding cats.
